TARBORO —
Bryan and Paula Wamsley of Johns Creek, GA are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Marilyn Elizabeth Wamsley to Joshua Bryan DeLong, son of Bryan and Lisa DeLong of Lancaster, OH. The wedding ceremony was held on January 1, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Statesboro, GA at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The Reverend Beth Brown Shugart performed the double-ring ceremony; Reverend Greg Smith presided over Holy Communion.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Beshears of Purlear, NC; Mrs. Anita Wamsley of Burnsville, MS and the late L.A. Wamsley. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cheatwood, Mrs. Betty DeLong and the late Wallace DeLong; all of Lancaster, OH.
Erin Coughlin of Boston, MA served as Maid of Honor. Brian Barnett of Lancaster, OH was Best Man. Bridesmaids were Ashleigh Bauer of Lexington, NC; Brittany Absher of Millers Creek, NC; Cassidy Hogan of Boone, NC; Catherine Steen of Duluth, GA; Cayla Rowell of Statesboro, GA; Dawn Lambert of San Antonio, TX; and Megan Brockington of Lawrenceville, GA. Groomsmen were Adam Wamsley of Statesboro, GA; Josh Cooper of Boone, NC ; Jerry DeLong of Newark, OH; and Christopher Bibler, Ed Hebb, Ethan Tatman and Tom Shahan all of Lancaster, OH.
Flower Girl was Ellamarie Perel of Hillsborough, NC. Ring Bearers were Harrison Perel also of Hillsborough, and Nash Beshears of Cornelius, NC. Music was provided by Pierce Dickens, organ; Lee Walker, handbells; John Hardin, saxophone; Brad Rikard, saxophone and Catherine Steen, soprano.
A reception followed at The Robbins Nest. The Fabulous Classics provided music for dinner and dancing. After a Mini-moon in Savannah the couple is at home in Knightdale, NC; and looking forward to a Caribbean Cruise honeymoon in the summer.
Marilyn is a graduate of Milton High School and Georgia Southern University. She is the music teacher at Wells and Elm City Elementary Schools in Wilson, NC; and Director of Children’s Ministry and Children’s Music at St. James UMC in Tarboro, NC. Joshua is a graduate of Lancaster High School and Wright State University. He is a seminary student at Duke University and Youth Minister at St. James UMC in Tarboro.

Corbett/Chasse Wedding
Brittney Joyce Corbett and Kenneth Robert Chasse, Jr. were united in marriage on April 6th, 2013, at 5:30pm at the Imperial Centre in Rocky Mount. The Rev. Carrol Bradbury officiated the ceremony.
