Kimberly Paige Jessen and Edward Leon Roberson IV were married at 6:30pm on June 20, 2009 at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville. The Reverend Doctor Christopher H. Edmonston officiated the outdoor ceremony. A reception followed at the Grove Park Inn.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Jessen of Raleigh, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William James Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Matthew Jessen, of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Leon Roberson III of Tarboro, and grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Davis, Jr. of Florence, South Carolina and the late Dr. and Mrs. Edward Leon Roberson, Jr. of Tarboro.
The matron of honor was Jennifer Jessen Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, sister of the bride. The groom’s father served as best man. Miss Carter McKinnon Morrison of Concord served as flower girl.
The bride received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead Scholar, and received a Master’s degree in International Development from George Washington University.
The groom received both a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration from Wake Forest University.
The couple honeymooned in Colorado, and they now reside in Brasilito, Costa Rica.
