Elaine Turner Hill and Jeffery Jay Beal were married at 5:30pm June 27, 2009 at Nashville United Methodist Church. Reverend Wayne Hicks performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Ruth Gurganus of Tarboro and Ray and Denise Turner of Pinetops.
The groom is the son of Emerson “Buzz” and Lois Beal of Rolesville. Honorary Grandmother is Mrs. Betsy Primrose of Pittsburgh, PA.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Brandon Thomas Hill.
The bride’s ivory gown was made of Nouveaux taffeta. It featured an illusion high neckline with embroidered lace adorned with pearls, sequins, bugle beads and crystals. The slim fitted gown showcased an asymmetrical pleated bodice with a flower over the ruched dropped waistline and covered buttons over the zipper. The skirt gathered softly and fell into a cathedral length train.
For flowers, the bride carried a hand tied bouquet of ivory roses, camellia greens and ivy fronds with ivory satin ribbon.
Rebekah Beal, daughter of the groom, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Megan Beal and Kaitlyn Beal of Nashville, and Ashlee Bowling and Austen Bowling of Willow Springs, all nieces of the groom.
Andrew Beal, son of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Cameron Beal of Nashville, Kalon Bowling of Willow Springs, both nephews of the groom and Grey Cobb of Rocky Mount, nephew of the bride.
Program and Register Attendants were Justin Harrell and Mason Harrell of Pinetops, both step-brothers of the bride.
A reception was held at Birchwood Country Club in Nashville.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple plan to live in Red Oak.
The bride is employed by International Traders, Inc.
The groom is employed by Nash Health Care Systems.
On May 2, 2009, a bachelor’s golf weekend was held in Myrtle Beach, SC with friends of the groom.
On May 2, 2009, a bachelorette evening was held in Raleigh hosted by Joy Cobb, sister of the bride and Shannon Turner, sister-in-law of the bride.
On May 3, 2009, a bridal shower was given by Karen Cutlip, Kristie Newton and Lisa Warenda at the home of Kristie Newton in Wilson.
On June 23, 2009, a celebration luncheon was given by the staff at Nash Day Hospital Physical Therapy department.
On June 26, 2009, an after rehearsal dinner was held by the groom’s family at Nashville United Methodist Church, and an after-party was held at the home of Shawn and Rhonda Beal.
