TARBORO — Sally Morgan Smith and Travis Jackson Grimes were united in holy matrimony on June 4th, 2011, at 5:00 PM at First Christian Church in Robersonville, NC. Reverend Doctor David Brown performed the double ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Irving Lee Smith, III, of Robersonville, NC. The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. John Rodgers Grimes, Jr. of Battleboro, NC.

Mrs. Caroline SmithPelletier, of Grimesland, NC, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids are Mrs. Jena Smith Corey, of Williamston, Mrs. Ginny Whitehead Lilley of Williamston, Miss Allison Joyner McDowell of Scotland Neck, Miss Jo Revelle Murray of Murfreesboro, Miss Virginia Taylor Otey of Williamsburg, VA, Miss Rebecca Britt Stephenson of Franklin, VA, and Miss Meghan Sheryl Vick of Tarboro, and Miss Carleigh Annelise Harris served as the flower girl. Master William Robert Harris, III, served as ring bearer. Mr. John Rodgers Grimes, Jr. serves as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Nathan Jackson Dilday of Ahoskie, Mr. John Rodgers Grimes, III of Rocky Mount, Mr. Josh Randal Pelletier of Grimesland, Mr. William Gray Smith of Robersonville, Mr. Zachari Hayden White of Windsor, Mr. Wesley Ryan Wilson of Magnolia and Mr. Thomas Whichard Winslow of Oak City. Honorary attendants were Miss Marian Creggar of Raleigh, Miss Emma Caroline Exum of Snow Hill, Miss Brittany Melissa Phelps of Clayton, Miss Emmaline Jenkins Smith of Everetts, Miss Anna Elizabeth Turner of Oak City. Music for the ceremony was provided by organist, Mr. Michael Harris. Vocalist for the ceremony was Mrs. Kristin Harkins. The program attendants were Miss Jessie Nicole Pritchard, Miss Lindsey Johnson Simpson, and Miss Sydney Lynn Simpson.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents and grandmother at Yankee Hall Plantation. A reception followed the ceremony at the Robersonville Country Club, given by the parents of the bride.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Hobgood Academy, and 2011 graduate of Meredith College, Magna Cum Laude. The bride was presented at the 82nd Debutante Ball by the Terpsichorean Club in Raleigh, in 2009. She is employed by Edgecombe County Public Schools.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Hobgood Academy, and a 2009 graduate of North Carolina State University. He is a self-employed farmer.

Following a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica and Charleston, SC, the couple is residing in Battleboro, NC.

Brittney Joyce Corbett and Kenneth Robert Chasse, Jr. were united in marriage on April 6th, 2013, at 5:30pm at the Imperial Centre in Rocky Mount. The Rev. Carrol Bradbury officiated the ceremony.
The Rehearsal Dinner was hosted by Shirley and Donald Foreman, Grandparents of the Groom and also Elisha and Kenneth Chasse, Parents of the Groom, at Pizza Inn in Rocky Mount.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Durwood Corbett of Macclesfield, NC. The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Robert Leonel Chasse, Sr. of Pinetops, NC.
