Christina Leigh Roebuck and Andrew Daniel Mayse were married April 25th, 2009, at five o’clock in the evening. The ceremony was held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius, NC with the Reverend Michael Bailey, and Reverend Timothy Reimer officiating. A dinner reception was held at the Peninsula Club in Cornelius, NC.
The bride is the daughter of Julius Roebuck of Tarboro, and the late Betty Taylor Roebuck. She is a graduate of East Carolina University where she received her BS in apparel merchandising. She is currently employed at Belk Corporate Office in Charlotte, NC.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Druary Mayse of Clemmons, NC. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University and is currently working as a National Account Manager for Hunter Fan Company.
Maids of Honor were Amanda Nichole Price of Charlotte, NC, and Ashley Elizabeth Pierce of Rosemont, PA. Also attending were bridesmaids April Deane Hale Knight of New Bern, NC, Amy Nicole Craven of Kinston, NC, Katherine Julia Amann of Charlotte, NC, Suzanne Kayne Hawes of Charlotte, NC, Courtney Ann Hutchinson of Malvern, PA, and honorary bridesmaid Avery Beth Crosby of Charlotte, NC. Special attendants were Stacy Leigh Ogburn and Wendy Leigh Speight, cousins of the bride.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Caddell Mayse of Clemmons, NC, Adam Franklin Coe of Mooresville, NC, Christian Chase Gardner of Charlotte, NC, Charles Allen London of Raleigh, NC, and James Neal London of Huntersville, NC. The Ushers were James Edward Gustin III of Brandon, MS, Matthew James Reese of Winton-Salem, NC, Jason Charles Lott of Cornelius, NC, and Bradley Cameron Bovender of Clemmons, NC.
The wedding music included music selections by Queen City Ensemble String Quartet . A wedding solo of Ave Maria sang by Martha Metzler with Grace Fulton as the Pianist. The wedding director was Betsy Shores.
The Bride wore an ivory Casablanca gown made of silk taffeta. The gown was fashioned with a strapless sweetheart neckline, multi pleated bodice, and an empire waist. The aline skirt extended into a chapel length train with hand beaded buttons down the back. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses in memory of her mother.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Peninsula Yacht Club.
Andrew and Christina will go to Jamaica for their Honeymoon and will reside in Huntersville, NC.
