Mr. Michael Aston Phillips and Miss Leah Glynn Pitt were united in marriage on October 4, 2008 at five o'clock in the evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Ray Pitt. The wedding was officiated by Rev. Graham Royal.
Leah Glynn Pitt is the daughter of Mr. Elbert Ray Pitt and Mrs. Gwendolyn Boykin Pitt of the St. Lewis Community. Leah is the graduate of Southwest High School and Carteret Community College. Leah is now employed with Design Surfaces of Raleigh.
Michael Aston Phillips is the son of Mr. Shadrick Aston Phillips II and Mrs. Patricia Hix Phillips of Wendell, NC. Michael is the graduate of East Wake High School and is now employed with the Raleigh Fire Department.
Leah was given away in marriage by her father Mr. Elbert Ray Pitt. The maid of honor was Mrs. Brandi Beeman friend of the bride, the bridal attendants were: Miss April Johnson friend of the bride, Mrs. Cindy Asta sister of the groom and Mrs Danielle Phillips sister-in-law of the groom. The flower girls were Miss Ava Asta and Miss Gabriella Asta both niece's of the groom.
Michael's best man was Mr. Shadrick Phillips father of the groom. The groomsmen were Mr. Doug Yancey friend of the groom, Mr. Thom Asta brother-in-law of the groom and Mr. Chris Phillips brother of the groom. The ring bearer was Mr. Jacob Phillips nephew of the groom.
The music was provided by Miss Sarah Dew and Mrs. Frances Smyth on the violin. The brides book attendant was Miss Jessica Augustine. The reception was help immediately following the wedding at the Pitt home. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the grooms parents.
The couple will reside in Wendell NC, immediately following a wedding cruise to the Bahamas and Key West.

Corbett/Chasse Wedding
Brittney Joyce Corbett and Kenneth Robert Chasse, Jr. were united in marriage on April 6th, 2013, at 5:30pm at the Imperial Centre in Rocky Mount. The Rev. Carrol Bradbury officiated the ceremony.
The Rehearsal Dinner was hosted by Shirley and Donald Foreman, Grandparents of the Groom and also Elisha and Kenneth Chasse, Parents of the Groom, at Pizza Inn in Rocky Mount.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Durwood Corbett of Macclesfield, NC. The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Robert Leonel Chasse, Sr. of Pinetops, NC. -

ROCKY MOUNT – Miss Lauren Margaret Boswell and Mr. Richard Trent McGee were united in marriage at half past four o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at West Edgecombe Baptist Church in Rocky Mount.
