Rescheduled because of a snowstorm last month, the North Carolina Music Network’s Scholarship Showcase 1000 finals will take place next weekend at Edgecombe Community College’s McIntyre Auditorium.
Six finalists selected from the September trials will compete before a panel of six judges. A $1,000 cash scholarship will be presented to the winning artist.
The showcase is 7 p.m. March 20. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door, or by contacting NCMN through httop://www.ncmusicnetwork.org.
Chosen out of 15 competitors the six finalists are Kaitlyn Flythe of Tarboro; Erin Strickland, Rocky Mount; Jamie Bryant, Williamston; Liz Holt, New Bern; Captured Hearts Trio of Emily, Jessica and Amanda King of Rich Square; and Kelly Marie Frizzelle, Ayden.
Added entertainment for the evening will be provided by the NCMN Support Team of Ricky Hale and William Whitehurst, both of Tarboro; Jessica Charbonneau, Saratoga; Tracy Farmer, Rocky Mount; Heather Johnson, Greenville and Amanda Rose, Washington.
