BASEBALL TRYOUTS
Cal Ripken
Tryout dates at Sunset Park for Cal Ripken league are:
10-year olds
Feb. 26-27 at 5 p.m. for olds
11-12-year olds
Feb. 27-28 at 5 p.m.
Make-up dates are March 4-7 at 5 p.m.
Minor
March 12-14 at 6:30 p.m.
March 18-21 at 6:30 p.m.
• There is a $10 fee for all players who live inside Tarboro City limits and Edgecombe County. There is a $35 charge per sport fee for players who live outside of Edgecombe County.
• Players interested in playing must fill out a registration forms. Players who played last year are exempt from tryouts.
• Players age as of April 30 this year will be their playing age for all spring sports.
• Cal Ripken League players must be 10-years old before or on April 30 and may not turn 13-years old before April 30.

SOFTBALL REGISTRATION
Registration forms are available for girls ages 4-12 who are interested in playing in the Edgecombe County Girls Softball League through the Tarboro Parks and Recreation Department. Forms may be picked up at the Braswell Center or the E. L. Roberson Center.
• All forms should be turned back in by Feb. 28 for players interested in participating.
There are four leagues in the program, A League of Their Own Ages 4-6, Babe Ruth Machine Pitch Ages 7-8, Babe Ruth Fast Pitch Ages 9-10, Babe Ruth Fast Pitch Ages 11-12
• T-Ball practice begins Monday, April 8 6-7 p.m.
• All practices will take place at Indian Lake Sports Complex
• The league has a cut off birth date of Dec. 31. If a player turns 13 before that date then they aren't eligible to play.
