Gould said he was impressed with the way his team came out and hit the ball.
The Cougars collected 13 hits in the game.
He was also glad to see the defense step up and play error free ball behind his pitchers.
SouthWest will be back in action Friday when they host the Beddingfield Lady Bruins at 4:30 p.m. The Bruins are undefeated in the conference while the Cougars are tied for second place with the Farmville Central Lady Jaguars.
