TARBORO — Pictured is the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougar varsity cheerleaders which competed Saturday in Raleigh in the NCHSAA state cheerleading competition. The varsity team finished fifth runner-up and the JV team finished as fourth runner-up. Both teams got an automatic bid for the national competition that will be held March 15-17 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
