To the Editor:
Wrong, wrong, wrong this was just malicious. How could you have ever thought the article concerning Clark Jenkins was a news item? How would you liked for someone to print this same article about you and spatter it across the front page of the local newspaper? You must have a great deal of resentment toward Mr. Jenkins. I hardly think telling Edgecombe county how many houses, their square feet and value, how much land he owns and the personal details of he and his wife’s life whether rumor or fact is news. Maybe you are turning into just a gossip tabloid. Oddly enough, I had just written the check to renew our subscription to the newspaper but after reading this article we will no longer subscribe to a newspaper that would stoop this low.
