This Letter to the Editor piece by Harry Ballard (Wednesday) shows a total ignorance of the existence of one of the best restaurants in Eastern North Carolina in Tarboro – Onthe Square.
I was born in Tarboro, grew up in Leggett and have had the occasion to visit On the Square probably a dozen times.
Last October, a number of my cousins and I had a reunion there and it included an evening meal at On the Square. They came from Washington state, Florida and various parts of North Carolina. To a person, they were all impressed with ehe food quality and service at On the Square.
All you Tarborians should be thankful that you have a restaurant of that quality in your town.
And Harry Ballard needs to get out of his house a little more often and realize what is available just down the street!
