Dolly Atkins Anderson, 80, of Tarboro, died Sunday, May 10, 2009.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Wilson officiating.
Burial will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Littleton.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and Joseph Atkins ,Sr.; a brother, Joseph Atkins, Jr.; a sister, Beulah Threewitts; and a brother-in-law, Joe Threewitts.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Calvin Anderson; three daughters, Judy Eastwood of Myrtle Beach, Frances Bass and husband Brent of Nashville, and Vicky Merritt and husband Donald of Raleigh; a son, Wilfred "Buddy" Elliott of Greensboro; three step-children, Calvin Curtis Anderson Jr. and wife Glenna of Harrisonburg, Va., Bennett Anderson and wife Sarah Jo of Leggett, and Stephanie Anderson of Switzerland; 13 grandchildren, Hope Switzer and husband Paul, Paul Dickens and wife Allison, Brigitte Specht and husband Dave, Brooke Bass, Chad Merritt and wife Ashlee, Brendon Bass and fiancee Shannon, Melissa Merritt, Buddy Isles, Jr., Paula Isles, Sarah Elaine Anderson, Calvin Curtis Anderson III and wife Rebekah, Shawn Anderson and Bridget Anderson.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
