TARBORO — CONETOE — Helen Harrell Skinner, 84, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Williamson officiating. Entombment will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her husband, Alton B. “Preacher”

Skinner.

She is survived by her loving family including three daughters: Jean Nichols and husband, Clifton, Ruth Whitehurst and Sherry Crawford; two sons: Alton R. Skinner and wife, Linda and Jerry Skinner and wife, Connie; seven sisters: Gladys Skinner, Marie Cobb, Shirley Bryant, Mattie Ruth Bulluck, Betty Moore, Florence Sharpio and Louvenia Stancill; a brother, Floyd H. Harrell, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren

The family received friends Sunday night at Carlisle Funeral Home.
