Elizabeth Spruill Newberry, 90, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Edgecombe Memorial Park..
Mrs. Newberry was preceded in death by H. Ellis Newberry and seven brothers.
She was a member of Tarboro Church of Christ.
Elizabeth is survived by a loving family including three sons: Sidney E. Newberry and wife (Betty) of Tarboro, Larry W. Newberry and wife (June) of Tarboro and James L. Newberry and wife (Amy) of Raleigh; a daughter, Betty J. Newberry of Raleigh; a sister, Ruth Schwanke of Plymouth’ six grandchildren: Brooke Newberry, Danielle Webb, Warren Newberry, Angela Abernethy, Stephanie Newberry and Melissa Smith and seven great-grandchildren .
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to her caregivers at home and Golden Living Center.
The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home from 1 until 2 p.m., Saturday.
