TARBORO — Katie Holland Cooke Barnes, 83, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Julian Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by a loving family including her husband, Sam Barnes; daughters: Sue Cooke Long and husband Bill, Kay Bottoms and husband Greg; step-son Sam Billy Barnes, Jr. and wife Jackie; step-daughter: Dale Rhodes and husband Donnie and Kim Mitchell and husband Steve; grandchildren: Bill Long, Chris Long, Jessica Moots, Jordan Bottoms, Chris Trader, Kyle Barnes, Andy Hux and Rodney Mitchell; brother, Jesse Ray Holland and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 1 p.m. until the time of service at Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.
