TARBORO — CONETOE —Julian Thomas Johnson, 87, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Conetoe United Methodist Church Cemetery, Conetoe, with the Rev. Linda Catherine Clark officiating.

Mr. Johnson was a World War II Veteran and saw action in Germany and France.

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 64 years, Edna Deal Johnson; daughter, Debra Johnson Damone, of Conetoe; son, Julian Wayne Johnson, and wife, Carolyn, of Bethel; grandsons, Bryan Harris, Kevin Harris, granddaughter, Corrie Johnson Ball, and husband, Steven; great-grandson, Zachary Ball; nieces, Judy DeVinny, of Tarboro, Linda Brice, of Old Sparta; sister-in-law, Gladys Johnson, of Old Sparta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Conetoe United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 128, Conetoe, N.C. 27819. The family will receive friends and relatives at the home following the service.

Arrangements are by Carlisle Funeral Home, Inc., Tarboro.

BELVOIR — Mrs. Mattie Ruth Bullock, 81, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
Mrs. Bullock, a native of Wilson County and a lifelong resident of Pitt County, was a graduate of Belvoir-Falkland High School. She was engaged in farming with her husband until 1989 and was a charter member of Belvoir Free Will Baptist Church.
