Robert B. “Bobby” Allen, 71, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at the Tarboro Church of God with Pastor Sammy Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.
Bobby is survived by a loving family including his wife of 53 years, Jean Chapman Allen; two daughters: Debra Jean Guthrie and husband William Paul and Celina Penn Hawkins and husband Danny; a brother, Wayne Allen; grandchildren: Christie S. DeStefano, Kimberly S. and Chris Long, Bethany Scott, Robert Allen “Lil Bobby” Hawkins, Leslie Hawkins, Lee Hawkins, Ashley Hawkins, Chessey Hawkins, Samantha Hawkins and Brook E. Hawkins; great-grandchildren Lexi, Colton, Mason, Jackson, Kaylin and Kinndie and special friends David Chapman, Sue Crisp and Jamie Crisp, along with many others.
The family received friends at Carlisle Funeral Home Sunday evening.
