TARBORO — Margaret Harris Armstrong, 82, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Margaret retired from Belk’s after 40 years of service and was a member of Penders Chapel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Roy Armstrong, six brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her loving family, including her daughters, Ann James and husband, David, of Pinetops, Brenda Dickson and husband, Ronnie, of Tarboro; grandchildren, Michael James and wife, Kim, Pete Dickson and wife, Elizabeth, Chip Dickson and wife, Jennifer; great grandchildren, Amy James, J.P. James, Riley James, Zach James, Olivia Dickson, Margaret Dickson and Logan Bagley. She also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews and friends to cherish her memory.

If desired, in lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Penders Chapel Baptist Church, 3246 Howard Ave.Ext., Tarboro 27886

Family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and other times at the home, 112 Speight Ave, Tarboro.

Mrs. Bullock, a native of Wilson County and a lifelong resident of Pitt County, was a graduate of Belvoir-Falkland High School. She was engaged in farming with her husband until 1989 and was a charter member of Belvoir Free Will Baptist Church.
