    Sara Whitehurst and Lakevious Battle were named Tarboro Vikings Female and Male Athletes of the Year Thursday night during the Vikings annual athletic Banquet. Whitehurst played softball and was on the swim, track and cross-country teams. Battle played basketball, football and ran track. Football coach Jeff Craddock was selected by the booster club as Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.
