Rocky Mount — United Way's Community Campaign will launch from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Imperial Centre.

The launch will include the announcement of the fundraising goal and the display of the Snapshots of Success.

Launched in 2007, the Snapshots of Success is a compelling traveling photo exhibit that features local United Way donors with United Way program recipients.

Donors featured in the photos work in local businesses or organizations, such as, Edgecombe County Department of Social Services, Nash Health Care Systems, Cummins-Rocky Mount Engine Plant, City of Rocky Mount City Council, Hospira, Piedmont Natural Gas, McLane Carolina Co., and Boys & Girls Clubs of Nash/Edgecombe Counties.

Recipients in the photos have received services through one of the 41 programs funded through your local United Way. Local photographer Allen Hinnant provides the photography services, while Nature's Own Gallery provides the framing of the photos.

The exhibit visually demonstrates how our community's support of United Way truly makes a difference in many of our local citizens' lives.

United Way supports 41 local health and human service programs that touch on all quality of life issues, including education, health and income stability.

United Way also provides a wide-range of community development services, such as information & referral, Make a Difference Day, volunteer services and collaborative partnerships that strengthen our community.
