Macclesfield man receives federal prison sentence
WILMINGTON —
A Macclesfield man has been sentenced to federal prison for dealing drugs.
Michael Maurice Wooten, 28, received 48 months’ imprisonment followed by five years’ supervised release Thursday by Senior United States District Judge James C. Fox.
Wooten's sentence also included a fine in the amount of $2,500.
On Nov. 24, 2009, Wooten was charged with conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of cocaine base (crack) and more than 500 grams of cocaine. On Feb. 1 Wooten pled guilty to the charge.
