Tarboro Police are still looking for one of the suspected gunmen who shot a Tarboro teenager on June 4.

Tarboro Lt. Keith Hale said police are still looking for 24-year-old Savilous Mantrell Murphy of 214 S. Main St. in Tarboro in connection with the shooting.

Hale said that he was last seen in Princeville.

Early on June 4, authorities said that Murphy and two other unidentified men shot at 19-year-old Christopher Lamont Royster of Lloyd Street. Royster was hit in the leg and had to be transported to Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Police said he had been sitting in a car with a woman on Lloyd Street early on the morning of June 4, when Murphy and the two other men approached the car. When Royster attempted to run away, police said that the three men shot at him with handguns.

Kevin Randolph, a member of Royster's household, said that Royster had to undergo surgery to his leg at Pitt County Memorial because of a loss of blood flow.

Anyone with information about Murphy is asked to call Tarboro Police at 641-4247.
