Published author Megan Robert, will be presenting a workshop for teen writers at 10 a.m. Friday at the Blount-Bridgers House.
She will focus on specific literary elements and participants will leave with work of their own. Adults are also welcome.
Roberts is a native of Greenville but likes to call Emerald Isle her home away from home. She is pursuing a master's degree in English at East Carolina University, with a focus in creative writing.
Her story "Enough" has appeared in 971MENU.com, and she has a poem, "Blackberries," forthcoming from Anabiosis Press.
She recently received an honorable mention in the Brenda L. Smart fiction contest, and she was a finalist in the flash fiction category.
