FAMILY DAY

'A way to say thanks'

People came to work on their day off or took time out from work to participate in Heritage Hospital's annual Family Day.

Employees, their families and volunteers were all invited to attend the event Saturday afternoon.

"It's a little way to say thank you as the Fall gets started for all the work everyone does," said President Wick Baker.

The Family Day Committee of employees, served everyone barbecue chicken, hot dogs, chips and cookies, while a disc jockey kept everyone entertained with music.

There were no age limits put on the wide range of activities that were provided by Ragland Productions of Clayton.

After enjoying lunch, Ragland Productions gave everyone the option of getting a funeral cake or snow cone for dessert.

The kids enjoyed the potato sack race, hula hoop contest, face painting, rock climbing wall, inflatable slide, and inflatable baseball game.

The adults kicked back to a nice game of bingo for a chance to win everything from a tool box to a fleece blanket/pillow set to a solar lantern.
