Bradley/Elliott

TARBORO — Rebecca Elizabeth Bradley and Yancey Caldonia Elliott III were married on March 20, 2010 at half past four o'clock in the afternoon at Howard Memorial Presbyterian Church in Tarboro, North Carolina. The Reverend Doctor Christopher H. Edmonston officiated. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Blount Bridgers House. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ivey Bradley, Jr. of Tarboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Donald Moore and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ivey Bradley of Tarboro. She is a graduate of Meredith College and is a Financial Services Manager with First Citizens Bank. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Francis Chuman of Bath and Mr. Yancey Caldonia Elliott, Jr. of Belhaven.  He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Worth Bagley Lockerman of Salemburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Yancey Caldonia Elliott of Tarboro.  He is a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College and is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Nancy Bradley Thompson, sister of the bride, of Raleigh served as matron of honor.  Bridesmaids were Stephanie Barton Adams, Christine Aiello Craig and Angela Addison Gibbs of Raleigh, Kelli Bay Davis of Greensboro, Frances Carstarphen Jenkins of Morehead City and Karen Hale Stone of Rocky Mount.  Honorary bridesmaids were Amber Bodenheimer Jones, Susan Semonian Petretich and Ashley Harville Seamster of Raleigh.  Mary Phillips Walter of Winterville served as the reader.  Denise Sawyer Bradley of Wilson and Elizabeth Lynch Bradley of Raleigh, sisters-in-law of the bride, served as register attendants. Logan Cooper Elliott and Worth Lockerman Elliott, sons of the groom, served as best men.  Groomsmen were Mark Bryan Bradley of Raleigh and William Bennett Bradley of Wilson, brothers of the bride; Mark James Fortier and Christopher Dean Howard of Raleigh, Bryan Tate Mayo and John Grenville Temple of Tarboro, Stephen Carrington Mayo of Wilmington and Matthew Scott Williamson of Austin, Texas. Honorary groomsmen were Lawrence McGilbra Cutchin, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, Ralph Fike Griffin of Morehead City, Lloyd Eldon Griffin III, Louis Phillip Hornthal III, Joseph Thomas Jenkins, Michael Patrick Sanders and Ronald Keith Sawyer of Elizabeth City. Bradley Reid Thompson, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. Program attendants were nephews of the bride, Cameron Lee Henley and Gregory James Thompson, Jr. of Raleigh, David Moore Bradley and William Bennett Bradley, Jr. of Wilson. The bride wore an ivory, dupioni silk gown which featured rouging on the fitted bodice and covered buttons down the chapel length train.  She wore a mantea chapel length veil with a ribbon edge. The bride carried a mixed bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas.  Wedding music was provided by Bill Hildebrandt. The wedding was directed by Ellington Smoot and Lesa Walton. The bride and groom were entertained with parties given by family and friends during their engagement.  On Friday, a bridesmaid luncheon was hosted by aunts and friends of the bride at On The Square in Tarboro.  Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Francis Chuman hosted a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening at Main Street Inn in Tarboro. Following a honeymoon trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will reside in Elizabeth City.
