Speaker Pelosi ‘has misused her privileges’

I am appalled at the arrogance of the AIG executives in their plans to pay out millions in bonuses for extremely poor performances. I hope there is a way to curb this obvious abuse.

Now, let me relate to the arrogance in the federal government. The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, according to reliable sources, has demanded military air transportation to her home state of California more than 50 times over a period of approximately 24 months. She demanded a plane capable of flying non-stop cross country. A less expensive plane could have been provided but would have required refueling along the way.

My concern is that while we severely criticize corporate executives for flying corporate jets to Capitol Hill to testify before Congress, yet they condone Speaker Pelosi's extravagance without a word from Congress, without an investigation into her extravagance.

We, the people, send our representatives to Congress to “serve,” not to be “served.” When our representatives realize their responsibilities to the people then our country will again be the country our forefathers meant it to be.

I suggest a congressional hearing on Nancy Pelosis’ arrogance to show the American People we expect our representatives to toe the line in these tight economic times. Also, Congress should put a stop to her expensive frequent visits to her home sate. Even in good times, she has misused her privileges.

A concerned taxpayer,
