   Phil Ford Golf Classic Gala will be held from 6:30 p.m. to midnight in the Gateway Convention Center in Rocky Mount. Plaster Repair Workshop

THS Class Reunion

Fish Plate Sale

Football Tryouts

   Martin Middle School will be holding football tryouts for the fall. There will be an interest meeting on Aug. 16 in the gym from 5:30-7 p.m. Tryouts will held from 5-7 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Road to Recovery Training

   The American Cancer Society is providing free training for volunteers for the Road to Recovery Program. The training is from 6-7 p.m. in the classroom at Heritage Hospital. Make-A-Wish Foundation

   Wish-granting volunteers are needed for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina. Wish granters visit the family and help determine the wish of the child while explaining wish procedures and using their creative side to make the wish truly magical.
