   The Edgecombe County NC Cooperative Extension will hold a Peanut Production Meeting at 12 noon at the East Carolina Agriculture & Education Center, 1175 Kingsboro Rd., A sponsored meal will be provided, so if you plan to attend, please call 252-641-7815 for a reservation.

Area Board Meeting

Edgecombe, Greene, Nash and Wilson Counties

   The Beacon Center Local Management Entity Area Board for Edgecombe, Greene, Nash, and Wilson Counties will meet at 6:30pm at the Wilson Agricultural Center, 1806 S. Goldsboro St., Wilson.

Braswell Center

Spades Tournament


   For ages 16-adults at 6pm. There will be a $10 fee per team. It is a double elimination tournament and there will be a trophy for 1st place. We need at least 4 teams to sign up the have the tournament. Deadline to enter your team is Feb. 17th. Come by the center or call 641-4210 for more information.

Tar River Players

   Under the direction of Dawn Whitehurst and Roberta Cashwell, “Narnia”, a musical verson of the book, “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis, at 8 p.m. Friday & Saturday the 24th & 25th, March 2 and at 2pm on Sunday, February 26 and March 4, in Mcintyre Auditorium, ECC. Eason Tiney American Legion Post 19 Tarboro is Sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on  from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Andy’s in Tarboro. Plates are $5 and proceeds will be used to renovate the American Legion Post and for various American Legion scholarships and programs that support the veterans and youth of Tarboro.
