Holiday Greenery Sale

The Tarboro TNR & Feline Friends and Friends of the Tarboro Animal  Shelter’s 3rd Hoiday Greenery Sale. Fresh fraser fir wreaths, garlands, and mailbox swags from Banner Elk will be available for pick up on Nov. 25th & 26th. Orders must be placed by today, Nov.  9th. Prices ranges from $16 to  $30. NOV 10

Function at the

Junction

Area Youth Football teams at SouthWest Edgecombe High School. Starting at 9am. Teams Participating are Wilson B&G Club, Little Tarboro Vikings, and SWE Cougar Cubs. Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for ages 6-12,  and free for kids 5 and under.



1st Annual Music

& Arts Festival

North East Carolina Prep School hosting at Indian Lake Park in Tarboro from 10am-4pm. This community event will feature various live music and dance performances, a cornhile tournament, concessions, baked goods, raffles, and much more. This is a fun-filled event for the whole family. $5 for adults and children are free with a paying adult.



Phoenix Historical Society

Will hold it’s  November educational program at 2pm at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1263 New Hope Church Rd., Battleboro. The topic will be Knights of Labor in Edgecombe County: 125th anniversary of Nathanuel Marriott’s letter to T.V. Podwerly.

Veterans Day Ceremony

   The Pilot Club of Tarboro and American Legion Post 19 will sponsor a Veterans Day Ceremony at 11am. The ceremony will be held next to the Veterans Memorial on The Town Common. The public is invited.

Update Meeting

The NC Dept. of State Treasurer will be faciltating a Community Update Meeting on Princeville’s current financial situation. At Princeville Elementary School cafeteria, 306 Walston St., at 6pm.

45th Anniversary

The public is invited to attend a celebration of ECC’s 45th anniversary and the NC Community College System’s 50th anniversary starting at 11:15am on the Tarboro campus. Reception and campus tours to follow. 823-5166, ext. 235.



Turkey Shoot

The Braswell Center is having a Turkey Shooting Contest for ages 5-7, 8-10, 11-13. Please turn in coloring sheets by Nov. 20th. We want to decorate the center with all the colorful turkeys for Thanksgiving. Pictures will be judged and winners announced on Nov. 21st at 6pm. There wil be prized for each age group! Bazaar

Held by the American Cancer Society Relay For Life at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, 100 St. Patrick St., Tarboro, beside parking lot to the Administrative Bldg. 9am-2pm.  Bakes goods, gifts, food, raffles, holiday decorations. For more information call 813-2170.

Class

The E.L. Roberson Center in conjunction with ECC will be offering a class for those 55 and older. The class will be once a week for four weeks from 1-3pm. cost of the class is $20. A Day in the Life of Diabetes

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, so the Edgecombe County Health Dept.  is hosting a fun and interactive event featuring exhibits, games, food samples and door prizes.
