Landfill Closing

The Edgecombe County Landfill will be closed in observance of the July Fourth Holiday. All recycling centers will be open.

Class Reunion

Pattillo Alumni Reunion

Fourth of July Picnic

The Old Sparta Historical Society will be hosting it's second annual July Fourth Picnic at 11 a.m. Bring a covered dish and enjoy fresh cooked BBQ and good fellowship. The festivities will commence at 11 a.m. and the picnic will start around noon.

The Tarboro Kiwanis Club will meet at 6 p.m. at Heritage Hospital for its scheduled business meeting.

Golden K Meeting

The Tarboro Golden K Kiwanis will meet at 9:45 a.m. at the E. L. Roberson Center in Tarboro for its monthly business meeting.

3 on 3 Basketball

The M.A. Ray Center will have a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament for ages 13-15 and 16 and up every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. starting July 10. To register or for more information call 641-4215. Residents outside Edgecombe County must pay a $25 fee.

Kiwanis Meeting

The Tarboro Kiwanis Club will meet at 6 p.m. at Heritage Hospital. Guest speaker will be Carol Long, volunteer coordinator for Hospice and VOICE.

Nutrition Education

Hunting Club

The New Hope Still Hunting Club is accepting new members who can hunt freely on 2,500 acres of Edgecombe and Pitt County land. Yearly dues are $460, and there are seven different farms for in-season hunting, including deer, squirrel, turkey and even bear in Pitt County.
