Landfill Closing
The Edgecombe County Landfill will be closed in observance of the July Fourth Holiday. All recycling centers will be open.
Class Reunion

The M.A. Ray Center will have a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament for ages 13-15 and 16 and up every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. starting July 10. To register or for more information call 641-4215. Residents outside Edgecombe County must pay a $25 fee.

Angel Food

Hunting Club
The New Hope Still Hunting Club is accepting new members who can hunt freely on 2,500 acres of Edgecombe and Pitt County land. Yearly dues are $460, and there are seven different farms for in-season hunting, including deer, squirrel, turkey and even bear in Pitt County. Contact Bruce Edwards, the club's president, at 567-8557 to sign up.
