For The Daily Southerner
Come listen to tales of the big city.
First Fridays Writer's Series hosts Jim Fredericks as he presents “New York Confidential: Stories From a Life in Film and Television” at 7 p.m. tonight at Main St. Café in downtown Tarboro.
Fredericks spent 37 years as a set designer and set dresser in the New York film and television world. You’ve seen his work on “Sex and the City” and on “Law and Order: Criminal Intent.” He has worked on countless films including “Goodfellas,” “The Owl and the Pussycat” and even an on-screen role in “FX.”
Fredericks moved to Tarboro two years ago and he has some stories to tell. Meet Barbra Streisand, Audrey Hepburn and James Coburn through Fredericks eyes. Hear what it’s really like behind the scenes and underneath the stars.
The night begins upstairs in the Main Street Café, but stay for the grand opening of the Underground Pub immediately following the reading.
