TARBORO —
Kathryn Leigh Wall of Louisburg and Aaron Scott Hair of Willow Spring were united in marriage on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Bunn Baptist Church, Bunn, North Carolina. The Reverend Michael Spain officiated the double-ring ceremony. Following the 6 p.m. ceremony, a reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at the Lake Royale Clubhouse.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ilon Wall of Louisburg. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Cora Miller Matta and the late Albert Matta, Mr. David Ilon Wall and Mrs. Louise Wright Wall, all of Roanoke Rapids. The bride is a graduate of Tarboro High School and North Carolina State University in Raleigh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and a minor in Agricultural Business Management. She is employed as a User Support and Applications Analyst with North Carolina State University.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John James Hair of Raleigh. He is a graduate of Garner Senior High School and East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. He is employed as a Transit Planner with the City of Raleigh.
The bride, wearing a gown designed by Elma Reis, was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Matron of honor was Amber Wall, sister-in-law of the bride, from Greenville. Bridesmaids were Heather Davis of Wake Forest, Jan York and Erin Grimsley, both of Tarboro, Ryan Norman of Durham, and Allyson Keffer of Nashville.
The groom had as his best man, his father, John James Hair. Groomsmen were David Cunningham of Kinston, Jeff Dawson of Wake Forest, Bill Simmons of Pinehurst, Dan Vinent of Wilmington, and Bennett Wall, brother of the bride, of Greenville. Junior groomsmen were Bryson Wall and Carter Wall, both of Greenville. Ring bearer was Reese Wall of Greenville, all nephews of the bride. Program attendants were Taylor Keffer and Brooke Keffer of Nashville. Cran Keffer, also of Nashville, served as Guest book attendant. Carolyn Belson, aunt of the groom, of Virginia Beach, read a Marriage Prayer, and the Raleigh Boychoir, under the direction of Bob Unger, Conductor, provided the music during the ceremony. The wedding was directed by Teresa Doring of Wake Forest.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Green Hill Country Club, Louisburg, on the eve of the wedding, followed by music and dancing. The bridesmaid’s brunch was held at the Wake Forest Tea Room the morning of the wedding and was hosted by the bride and her mother.
The bride and groom were honored at a miscellaneous shower given by the groom’s co-workers on September 13. The bride was honored at a miscellaneous shower on September 16 at Bunn Baptist Church hosted by Berteen Wilder, Alicia Guerrant, Janet Phillips and Pettra Spain. The bride and groom were also honored at a miscellaneous shower given by the bride’s co-workers on September 20. A miscellaneous shower honoring the bride was held in Greenville on September 23. Hosts were Anna and Amber Wall, mother and sister-in-law of the bride.
Following a honeymoon to Great Exuma, Bahamas, the couple will be at home in Johnston County.
