George Bramble Thorne, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Thorne of Tarboro, has been named to the High List, Episcopal High School’s academic honor roll, for the first quarter of the 2009-10 school year.
This honor denotes an average of 90 or above in five or more academic courses for the quarter.
Episcopal High School is a coeducational boarding school that prepares students in grades 9-12 for college. Founded in 1839, EHS offers a dynamic academic program that integrates the educational and cultural resources of Washington, D.C. Academics are enhanced by equally strong athletic, extracurricular and community service programs. Episcopal’s valued Honor Code is one of the oldest among secondary boarding schools in the country.
