Finnish educators visit ECC

Educators from Finland visited Edgecombe Community College recently as part of an ongoing collaborative arrangement.

A delegation of five Finnish educational leaders visited ECC and other local Colleges in October, marking their fourth visit to Eastern North Carolina.

The visitors were guests of ECC, Nash Community College and N.C. Wesleyan College.

In April 2008, ECC officials signed an agreement with educational leaders from Finland creating opportunities for collaboration and exchange.

Several members of the Finnish delegation were here to continue training in Six Sigma Greenbelt, which is specialized quality control training for business and industry.

Other members of the group toured local industry.
