The following people were arrested and charged with crimes during the past week in the county by the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office.
October 30
• Cedric Wydell Ward, 24, of 618 E. Phillips St., Tarboro, no liability insurance and no registration card.
• Geoffrey Wendell Ransome, 27, of 306 Carolina Ave., Tarboro, habitual felon. Jailed under a $100,000 secured bond.
• Jason Nelson Knox, 32, of 1107 Peach St., Tarboro, obtaining property by false pretenses.
• Jacquelyn Michelle Kea, 43, of 100 Langley Circle, Pinetops, failure to appear in court.
• Monique Shehadah, 37, of 208 E. Main St., Whitakers, non-support of a child. Jailed under a $400 cash bond.
• Herman Coley, 38, of Hwy. 43 N., Rocky Mount, non-support of a child. Jailed under a $2,000 cash bond.
October 31
• Jeremy Williams, 20, of 1204 Freer Dr., Rocky Mount, failure to appear in court. Jailed under a $35,000 secured bond.
• Terrell Kelsey Draughn, 40, of 4334 NC 97 E., Tarboro, assault on a female.
• Antwain Jamal WIlliams, 18, of 206 Ainsley Circle, Tarboro, misdemeanor larceny. Jailed under a $1,000 secured bond.
November 1
• McDonald Conyers, 59, of 104 Stevens Dr., Rocky Mount, driving while license revoked. Jailed under a $1,500 secured bond.
• Joshua Lamont Parker, 28, of Pinehurst Homes Apt. 45, Tarboro, financial card fraud, obtaining property by false pretenses, financial card theft and failure to appear in court. Jailed under a $4,500 secured bond.
• Frank James Jones, III, 33, of 1564 Fountain St., Rocky Mount, common law robbery, assault on a female, communicating threats and second degree trespassing. Jailed under a $10,000 secured bond.
• Joshua Henry McLain, 17, of 4776 Hwy. 97 E, Lawrence, assault on a government official, injury to real property, disorderly conduct and resist public officer. Jailed under a $3,000 secured bond.
• Douglas Lee Cartledge, 17, of 1348 Phillips Road, Rocky Mount, felony larceny and obtaining property by false pretenses.
November 2
• James Edward Smith, Jr., 32, of 711 Ellis Road, Tarboro, failure to appear in court. Jailed under a $500 secured bond.
• Illa Powell Pearce, 50, of 1400 Old Battleboro Road, Tarboro, four counts of failure to appear on court. Jailed under a $1,000 secured bond.
• Jesse Thomas Brock, Jr., 56, of 376 High Level Road, Pinetops, assault on a female. Jailed with no bond.
• Rhyan Cushman, 37, of 609 Fountain St., Tarboro, non-support of a child. Jailed under a $153 cash bond.

• Eric Devon Epps, 32, of 4302 Hwy. 97 E., Leggett, violation of a court order. Jailed under a $330 cash bond.

• Derek Jason Moore, 30, of 107 Bluestone Lane, Tarboro, misdemeanor larceny. Jailed under a $285 secured bond.

• James Roger Hedgepeth, 21, of 74 Sadie Branch Lane, Pinetops, violation of court order. Jailed under a $635 secured bond.
