TARBORO — Twenty people stand hand-in-hand at the Edgecombe County Courthouse Square Thursday as they participated in the observance of National Day of Prayer. Each participant took turn praying for national, state and local elected officials. They also prayed for a better world. The event was organized by Edgecombe County Commissioner Viola Harris. Tarboro Mayor Donald Morris and Town Councilman Taro Knight attended the event.
