TARBORO — Dale Murphrey, site manager of Hunter’s Park Apartments, an elderly designated apartment complex in Tarboro, was awarded the “USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) Certificate of Appreciation” Tuesday in recognition of being named the North Carolina Area VII site manager of the year. Steve Sessions (left) presented the award to Murphrey, who has served as site manager for 16 years and was chosen out of 35 other elderly apartment complex managers. Counties in Area VII includes Chatham, Edgecombe, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, Wake and Wilson.
