Golden LivingCenter Tarboro donated $500 to the Tarboro Fire Department last week.
The fire department will use the money to helpwith education for local elementary schools. Firefighters go out to the local schools and present fire material, puppet shows and fire truck displays for the children.
Also local schools, 4-H Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and all local daycares visit the fire department to see the fire trucks and learn about fire safety. They will be using the donation to help in providing educational materials for the children.
This donation was done in collaboration with Aegis Therapies and AseraCare Hospice and Home Health.
AseraCare is part of Golden LivingCenter.
Golden LivingCenter at 1000 Western Blvd. provides healthcare for up to 159 residents, including those needing skilled nursing and rehabilitative care.
