Schaffer/Crisp Wedding

Ginny Diana Schaffer and Johnathan Brett Crisp were married on Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Mr. Terry Howes officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Wood of Liberty, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mildred Finn and Mrs. Maxine Wood and the late Mr. Atlas Finn and Mr. Dewey Odell Wood.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Crisp of Tarboro, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Mrs. Edith Pigott and Mrs. Christine Crisp and the late Mr. Herbert Tasman Pigott and Mr. William Thomas Crisp.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Traci Burleson of Fayetteville, Arkansas served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Anna Ostle of Salisbury, North Carolina; Kira Brice of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Laura Braswell of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Doug Crisp, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Criscitiello of Baltimore, Maryland; Lee Henderson of Richmond, Virginia; and Jeremy Wood, brother of the bride, of Raleigh, North Carolina. Ushers were Michael Jennings of Wilmington, North Carolina; Eric Sanderson of Greenville, North Carolina; and Tanner Crisp, cousin of the groom, from Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Readers were Kimlee Smith and Ramonna Cvelich of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Following the ceremony the bride and groom hosted a reception in the Old Well Ballroom featuring “Switch”.

The groom’s parents hosted an after-rehearsal dinner at Maggiano’s in Durham, North Carolina, following the wedding rehearsal.

The bride is a 2009 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Doctorate of Pharmacy. She is a Primary Care Resident at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Doctorate of Pharmacy and a 2009 graduate of Ohio State University with a Masters of Science in Health System Pharmacy Administration. He is employed by the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital Department of Pharmacy as Pediatric Operations Coordinator.

After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Charleston, South Carolina.
