Rocky Mount’s airport announces new ‘Business Day-Travelers’ program
North Carolina’s NCFlyPorts Program and the Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport have announced the latest in air service availability for North Carolinians.
The “Business Day-Travelers” program by SATSair, a provider of customized “on-demand” air taxi service in the U.S. since 2004, offers special rates for one-day trips out of the Rocky Mount/Wilson Regional Airport to any destination in the service area.
“Business Day-Travelers” will let professionals in the Eastern North Carolina market to improve their productivity by doing more business in North Carolina and the Southeast.
Operating from the Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport, these customer-designed trips will be offered at the special savings of $100 per hour off the normal cost of the trip.
Using the Cirrus SR-22 aircraft, the program will pick up passengers at any of the 11 regional airports in the NCFlyPorts Program, take them directly to the airport nearest their destination and return within a 12-hour window.
“During these hard economic times, making long term contractual commitments for corporate air travel may be challenging for some companies. The SATSair mission is to provide the best value in point-to-point personal air transportation, and at this special price, more business professionals can enjoy the convenience and efficiency our service provides,” said Phil Quist, SATSair's vice president of business systems. “Our program will allow companies in the Rocky Mount/Wilson area to conduct out of town business meetings anywhere up and down the East Coast, and be home that night.”
The new program provides the benefits of a personal private aircraft: no standing in line or connections at major airports to get to your destination and no long drives to business meetings.
The program will use SATSair’s fleet of 26 Cirrus SR-22 aircraft to fly across the Southeast at a discounted rate.
“Using Rocky Mount-Wilson’s comfortable and convenient airport terminal, adjacent parking is only a few steps away," said Quist. "You need only arrive 15 minutes before your departure time and our pilot greets you, leads you to your plane and flies you non-stop to your destination.
"Business travel has never been so civilized.”
SATSair flew more than 2,100 flights in North Carolina last year alone.
Quist said that SATSair offers business professionals a travel tool that can potentially maximize productivity, promote customer relationships and expand business revenue.
“Aircraft charter travel is not just for the rich and famous," says Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport Manager Hans Hess. "The air transportation available right here in our community can prove to be a very savvy business decision for the smart traveler.
"The availability of good air transportation makes our area much more accessible to business and leisure travelers who need to get directly to the area. They can get in and get out with ease and convenience.”
