The new facility, which replaced Piedmont's old offices at 410 Dowd St., was designed by C design Inc. of Charlotte. The roof is designed to run water off of it in a single sheet of water, producing a waterfall effect. “It looks so pretty when it rains and you look out your window at a waterfall,” said Piedmont Operation Supervisor Yvonne Ellis.
